At Nodal, we believe surrogacy is often more than a decision—it’s a calling. Sierra’s story is one of faith, fulfillment, and deep connection, showing how surrogacy can transform not only families, but the surrogate herself.
“Hi, my name is Sierra. I’m 32 years old and from Virginia.”
Sierra has been married to her husband, Timmy, for 12 years. Together, they are parents to four beautiful children—three girls and one boy—as well as one precious angel baby girl. Outside of motherhood, Sierra loves all things cozy, getting lost in books, and building with Legos alongside her kids.
Family is at the center of everything she does—and it’s also what led her to surrogacy.
Sierra’s desire to become a surrogate began years ago—right after the birth of her oldest daughter.
“I loved being pregnant. I loved delivering her. I truly loved every milestone.”
After welcoming her son, Sierra found herself feeling unexpectedly unfulfilled. Having seen close friends and loved ones struggle with infertility, she began asking herself what her purpose was in this season of life.
“One day I was asking God what I needed to be doing with my life.”
That answer came clearly—and unexpectedly—through another surrogate’s story.
“One of my all-time favorite surrogates, Sam, popped up talking about how to become a surrogate. I laughed and thanked God for the answer.”
That night, Sierra did what so many future surrogates do—she started Googling:
That search led her to Nodal Surrogacy.
After her very first call, Sierra cried.
“I felt like my dreams were coming true—that my calling was right there.”
When Timmy came home from work, she shared everything she had learned. Together, in that moment, they chose to move forward—side by side.
One of the biggest surprises for Sierra was realizing just how many surrogates are out there.
“I was shocked at the number that truly exists.”
At the same time, she wishes there were more—more women willing to step into this role and help families who are longing for a child.
Sierra is honest, grounded, and passionate about setting expectations for those considering surrogacy.
“Not every journey is hard. There really are easy journeys.”
But above all, she believes intention matters.
“If you want to be a surrogate, you need to be in it for the love and the gift you’re providing another family.”
She’s candid about compensation, too—it can be life-changing, but it can’t be the sole reason.
“If you do it just for the money, you’ll never truly be happy.”
Her second piece of advice is one echoed by many experienced surrogates: find community.
“Find a support group outside of your home—Facebook groups, Instagram, wherever you feel safe.”
Those connections may allow you to help someone else—or receive the exact words you didn’t realize you needed.

Surrogacy impacted Sierra in ways she never expected.
Financially, it allowed for home improvements and family trips that otherwise wouldn’t have been possible. Physically and emotionally, it reshaped how she sees herself.
“After delivering a 9-pound baby—the biggest I’ve ever delivered—I viewed myself differently.”
Her recovery was longer and harder, but it led to a new level of self-respect.
“When I look in the mirror, I remember that I provided a loving family with a sweet baby.”
Along the way, she gained friendships that will last a lifetime—including her bond with Sam, whom she met through Nodal’s support group.
“We’ve never met in person, but we talk every single day. She changed my life.”
And through it all, her husband remained her constant.
“He stayed by my side the entire journey. During delivery, he was my greatest voice of reason. He never left.”
Her gratitude for Timmy runs deep—and so does her love.
Sierra’s journey wouldn’t be complete without acknowledging the role Nodal played.
“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help another family.”
Her story is a reminder that surrogacy doesn’t just grow families—it strengthens marriages, builds lifelong friendships, and helps women step fully into their purpose.

If Sierra’s story resonates with you, you’re not alone. Surrogacy begins with curiosity, grows through support, and becomes something truly life-changing.
